Role Summary:
Marketing is at the forefront of how we build the Rivian community and brand, creating intuitive, innovative, and beautiful moments that our fans and customers will love. We strive to understand and predict our customers' needs, behaviors, and emotions to gather insights that inform our experiential design, communal space design, and the digital tools that we integrate throughout their interactions with our brand.

Rivian is seeking a Social Media Specialist who will be at the forefront of Rivian’s social media channels. You will act as an ambassador and first line of defense for the brand. You will work closely with the social team and internal stakeholders on bringing Rivian’s social media strategy to life. You will engage with our community on a daily basis and will continue to bring in new members to the Rivian community.
Responsibilities:
  • Create new ways to engage with social audience
  • Handle or escalate brand engagement opportunities on social media
  • Publish content across all Rivian owned social channels
  • Share accountability and work cross-functionally with Corporate Communications, Brand and more
  • Serve as day-to-day liaison with Customer Engagement Center, creating and maintaining protocols between Marketing and the Customer Engagement Center
  • Trained in CEC tools and Knowledge Base
  • Trained in Rivian’s CRM tools to support escalations
  • Partner closely with customer support specialists
  • Compile weekly and monthly social reports
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, external contractors, and vendors
  • Listen to and serve the needs of all business units within Rivian
  • Generate new ideas on social from content to tone
  • Surface social trends to cross-functional partners
  • Manage content calendar among social team
  • Identify social media campaign KPIs and create reports post-campaign
Qualifications:
  • 2-4+ years experience as a community manager for a large brand or agency with global clients
  • Experience publishing content for a brand with over 1M followers
  • Respond to consumers on global social media channels
  • Expertise in social media trends and best practices across and not limited to Twitter, Meta, TikTok, YouTube
  • A deep appreciation for cultural, internet and content trends. Automotive industry experience a plus
  • Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
  • A passion for collaboration and fruitful communications
  • Proven track record of organically growing social channels
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Project management expertise
  • Expertise in video content and publishing on YouTube
  • Ability to thrive in a startup environment
  • Team first attitude and ability to fluidly work through ambiguity
Pay Disclosure:
Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $96,000-$111,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary:
Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
