Job Overview:
This position is the initial contact for all patients and families visiting the Outpatient Department. The role is to provide outpatient registration and discharge support, telephone and in person appointment scheduling, appointment reminder, demographics update, special diagnostic procedure instructions, and coordinating components of outreach clinics. Responsible for accurate registration and discharge coordination in person and over the phone

This position is full time, non-exempt and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $22.40-$33.60/hourly. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.
Responsibilities:
  • Performs a variety of comprehensive registration and scheduling functions.
  • Performs general clerical duties as assigned.
  • Enters and posts outpatient appointments according to department guidelines.
  • Completes return-to-clinic appointment cards and includes specific instructions.
  • Calls, reschedules and documents patients who are no-shows for new, medical conference, post operative, plaster and other appointments.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of physician and other team members’ schedules to provide accurate planning. Keeps patients informed of delays, procedures and other information related to their appointment to ensure quality care
