YOUR MISSION

As Creative and Design Teamhead, Ambassadors, you will be responsible for leading and managing the ambassador design team. You will oversee the development and execution of overarching creative concepts, designs, and strategies across footwear, apparel and accessories. Your role is crucial in driving the expression of the artistic vision of the ambassador(s), fostering innovation, and maintaining brand consistency.

  • Work closely with the ambassador(s) to understand the creative vision and direction of the season; bring the ambassador’s vision to life while meeting the requirements of the Sportstyle Business Unit.
  • Develop and communicate the creative vision of the collaborative product on a seasonal basis based on the input of the Ambassador as creative director and Puma brand direction
  • Balance expectations of the brand, business unit and ambassador / collab partners whilst driving creative cohesive and boundary pushing seasonal directions
  • Produce, maintain, update and present creative presentations, sketches, Illustrator drawings, specifications, mood boards, color directions as required
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activities
  • Lead a team of designers covering footwear, apparel, and accessories
  • Integrate the latest product and technical developments into designs; ensure that design activities leverage learning across the Puma organization
  • Lead a design team in creating products that reinforce and strengthen the brand position and help to generate consumer demand
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with the team across functions including design, product management and marketing. Facilitate alignment of footwear, apparel and accessories.
  • Build an especially strong collaborative working relationship with marketing counterparts to ensure seamless integration and execution of storytelling / seasonal vision
  • Contribute to adequate protection of PUMA’s intellectual property
  • Travel on development, market and inspiration trips as needed, domestic and international, may be with short notice (up to 25%).

YOUR TALENT

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Fashion and/or relevant field of study
  • Minimum 8+ years relevant experience in the fashion, sportswear or casual sports lifestyle space specializing in footwear; collaboration experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency and refinement in all stages of presentation, from concept to final design review
  • Have a broad knowledge of footwear and apparel manufacturing and design. Prototyping skills are a plus.
  • Proficient to advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Ability to function autonomously and flexibly as well as in a cooperative, diverse group
  • Leadership capabilities, including ability to manage, motivate and mentor others within work group
  • Tremendous attention to detail, and extraordinary time-management skills; ability to thrive under and adhere to tight timelines
  • Team player with ability to adapt to change quickly

The Hiring range base pay for this position is $99,200 - $141,125 + Bonus + Benefits (https://about.puma.com/en/careers/locations)

Pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
