This is an entry level position. The employee who occupies this position is responsible for any/all duties assigned by management irrespective of whether such duties are specifically included in this list.

  • Responsible for training with the Stacker Operator to be able to fill in when needed. Will train in other operational areas of the equipment as time allows.
  • Responsible to review and confirm Pallet “S” Tags, and Quality Inspection paperwork.
  • Responsible for operating electric Pallet Jacks safely to move WIP or finished pallets.
  • Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the area (remove stray product, sweep up, etc.) performed during make ready and end of shift.
  • Responsible for working in a safe manner and following all established safety protocol per training.
  • Responsible for reporting any unsafe acts or conditions.
  • The Assistant will help with troubleshooting when issues arise.
  • Communicates with operators to assure organized placement of orders on storage lines.
  • Teamwork and total cooperation required.
  • Support and Develop Lean initiatives (5s, TPM, Daily Management).
  • Other job related duties as assigned or delegated.

Physical Requirements

  • Duties require standing and walking (except breaks and lunch) throughout working shift for 8 to 12 hours.
  • Visual acuity at short distances. Needed to detect variances in job numbers, register and other quality issues.
  • Color vision needed to detect inappropriate color of product.
  • Able to lift 25-35 lb. continuously and 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Occasional climbing, stooping, bending and overhead reaching.
  • Fine hand manipulation.
  • Grasping and gripping.
