POSITION SUMMARY

The ASC Billing Specialist is responsible for making sure that the insurance company, as well as patient revenues, are collected and consistent. The ASC Billing Specialist does so by adjusting balances according to contractual obligation, posting insurance company payments, checking for patient eligibility, and filing appeals.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

CREDENTIALS, EXPERIENCE, AND ABILITES:

• Previous experience in Insurance Collections is preferred, but not required.
• Must possess a High School Diploma.
• Must maintain HIPAA compliance when accessing Personal Health Information (PHI).
• Must be able to perform physical duties when necessary.
• Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be able to prioritize tasks and work efficiently as part of a team.
