Program Specialist, Team Member Experiences - Engemann Student Health


 

Under minimal guidance, the Program Specialist, Team Member Experience supports the functions and efforts of employee engagement and experience at Student Health. The Program Specialist is accountable for the administration and coordination of a variety of functions including planning, organizing, implementing, researching and delivery of services and outcomes. The Program Specialist possesses the ability to manage difficult situations and all levels of staff and faculty independently and has the ability to perform and multitask effectively in a high volume, fast paced environment.

Essential Duties:

  • Assists in the development of the Team Member Experience program. Participates as an active committee member and has responsibility in assisting with the planning and execution of employee appreciation actions and events.
  • Responsible for the administrative functions of vendor evaluation, onboarding and development. Responsible for vendor payments via internal processing, procurement system and/or procurement card payment.

    Supports the Program Manger in researching and identifying staff and faculty needs and recommends program modifications or creation of new programs and services. Assists in the design and delivery of programs, services and special events.
  • At the direction of management, creates and disseminates particular messaging to all staff and faculty for the purposes of building team member awareness and acknowledgment of Student Health activities, efforts and events across the entire organization.
  • Schedules committee meetings. Takes attendance and meeting minutes. Provides minutes to Executive Committee for approval and posts to SharePoint site.
  • Hosts visitors and guests including new hires. Assists with parking, visit planning and execution including building tours. Assist with visitor reimbursements as necessary.
  • Serves as a key resource for Program Manager. Resolves problems or questions referred by staff, university administrators, or other contingencies.
  • Supports the Program Manager in calendaring meetings and events.
  • Keeps supplies for employees stocked in the breakroom.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.


Required Qualifications:

  • Req Bachelor's degree Degree in a related field.
  • Combined education/experience may substitute for Bachelor's Degree.
  • Req 5 years; Combined education/experience as substitute for minimum experience Directly related professional experience in organizational engagement and event planning.
  • Req Knowledge and demonstrated skills with: Event planning and project management Vendor negotiation and procurement processes Committee engagement, meeting organization, minutes recording Presentations Excellent communication and verbal skills Proficient in computer programs


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pref Healthcare – related experience


Required Licenses/Certifications:

  • Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only)

The hourly rate range for this position is $29.00 - $45.20. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
