This role is open to remote candidates or candidates within a commutable distance of our Irvine, CA office. This role is non-exempt hourly and pays $34.00 an hour. This role is open to candidates who do not require visa sponsorship.


The Payment Processor Lead will help with the daily operational responsibilities of the Loan Servicing Payments Team. As a Team Lead, you will assist with the facilitation of daily workload, meeting daily processing requirements, handling escalations, research, and training.


Responsibilities

  • Review and enter detailed payment information into our systems of record.
  • Gather documentation, review information and accurately enter it into the system
  • Respond to email correspondence promptly and professionally
  • Process payment change requests
  • Efficient task execution and processing daily assignments
  • Skillfully handle intricate tasks, including skip-a-pay requests, payment deferrals, autopays, wires, and physical checks and adjustments to payment dates.
  • Ensure meticulous compliance with SCRA regulations, maintaining a record of account accuracy.
  • Play a pivotal role in comprehensive financial reporting for loan portfolios,
  • Successfully manage account realignments, streamline processes, and optimize the allocation of resources.
  • Assist with implementation of rigorous database testing for new processes, to effectively identify and rectify defects.
  • Credit Reporting: Maintain and submit timely and accurate customer credit reports to major credit bureaus (Experian, TransUnion, Equifax)
  • Meet all deadlines for project completion


Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in equivalent field
  • Efficient problem-solving skills
  • Clearly and concisely communicate goals, tasks, and other organizational needs to team members
  • Great time management and organizational skills
  • Intermediate Knowledge of MS Office programs and Google Suite
  • Result-oriented team player
  • Phenomenal relationship-building and customer service skills with the ability to de-escalate difficult situations calmly and effectively
